A PASSION FOR SELLING PAYS OFF
Selling magazine advertising space and educational projects into the highly competitive medical market requires courage, stamina and experience. It's not for the faint of heart. The selling season is fast and furious, and the learning curve is steep-at least for most people.

But MultiMedia HealthCare (MMHC) sales associates Trevor Deal and Glaucia Lima hit the ground running in January 2001 and haven't looked back. The highly successful pair ended 2001 with sales figures that are outstanding for their rookie years, and their success is continuing.

"Both Trevor and Glaucia have performed way beyond expectations," said Tom Butler, vice president, group publisher at MMHC. "We don't really expect anybody to get a lot of sales and projects going in the first year, but they proved us wrong on all counts. Together they sold over 240 pages of advertising space in the division's magazines in 2001. Glaucia alone sold five educational initiatives that brought in over $500,000. It's been a tremendous performance on both their parts."

With their success to build on, the year looks bright for the pair in 2002. Projected sales are promising and, with a year of experience under their belts and desire and talent on their side, even greater deeds are expected.

"You have to be passionate about this job, and these individuals have the passion and the fire to position our journals in an extremely favorable light. That's why they have been so successful," Butler said.
