Daily Press receives top honors from American Advertising Federation
VICTORVILLE, Calif. - March 25, 2009 - The Daily Press won an ADDY Gold award for its “Going Green” campaign, a series of newspaper ads highlighting the newspaper’s efforts to be environmentally friendly. Competing among large regional advertising agencies, the Daily Press received the coveted Gold award at the annual American Advertising Federation (Inland Empire) award show, held at Victoria Gardens Cultural Center in Rancho Cucamonga.
“We are very proud to be recognized with this honor, as this campaign is a reflection of the great work our graphic designers produce every day," said Claus Enevoldsen, director of Marketing at the Daily Press and Freedom High Desert. "It is also a testament of our commitment to be environmentally friendly.”
The ADDY awards are the advertising industry’s largest and most representative competition, which recognize and reward creative excellence in the art of advertising. Daily Press/Freedom High Desert also won two ADDY silver awards and one ADDY bronze award for other logos and campaigns.
The American Advertising Federation Inland Empire award show is the first level of a three-part series of the AAF. Gold winners from the local competition will proceed to compete in the AAF District 15 competition against winners from other local areas. Winners from the District 15 competition will proceed to the national AAF competition later this year.
