Coast magazine upgrades its digital edition, adds Web-only content to coastmagazine.com
Newport Beach, Calif. – April 20, 2009 – Coast, the monthly elite-lifestyle magazine published by Freedom Communications, Inc., today announced several enhancements to its Web site, coastmagazine.com. The new items include Web-only content and a new platform to easily view content exactly as it appears in its print edition.
Starting with the April 2009 edition, the entire Coast publication is viewable through a user-friendly digital e-edition, accessible along the right side of the coastmagazine.com home page. The new Web-based edition provides quick access to individual articles, advertisers and pages through a purple navigation bar. It also has enhanced Search (keyword), Share (by e-mail) and Zoom (viewing) capabilities.
The digital edition also includes direct links to advertisers’ Web sites through a directory in the navigation bar and within magazine pages.
“The interactive and content enhancements to our Web site create a better experience for our community of readers, and builds upon what we offer through our print product,” said Erin Zilis, publisher of Coast. “Our digital edition enables us to deliver the visually appealing presentation of the magazine in another useful format, while also facilitating stronger connections between readers and advertisers.”
The coastmagazine.com site includes “comment” and “recommend” tools, a robust event calendar, and web-only features such as the “Heaven & Health” and “Along the Coast” blogs.
To further extend the reach of its content and encourage additional interactions with readers, Coast also launched a new Facebook page, which includes recent updates, special offers and event news.
