Monster Continues Significant Momentum for its Localization Strategy Through Strategic Media Alliances

MAYNARD, MASS. and IRVINE, CALIF.—Nov. 27, 2006—Monster, the leading global online career and recruitment resource and flagship brand of Monster Worldwide, Inc. “Combining the local strength of Freedom newspaper and TV brands nationwide with the power of Monster, the leading online careers and recruitment resource, will provide local employers with superior reach, a best-in-class solution and results that meet their employment needs, while serving job seekers with an expansive inventory of employment opportunities, expert advice regarding a range of career-related topics, and an array of tools,” said Michael Mathieu, President of Freedom Interactive. “This is the first step in an overarching strategic initiative to significantly enhance the products and services offered by all online Freedom properties nationwide.”

“Today’s announcement marks another major step forward in our localization strategy. This relationship is designed to benefit consumers and employers alike.

Employers benefit from the easy availability of an end-to-end recruitment solution that utilizes print and online advertising components. Businesses can also access the industry’s leading resume database, which attracts approximately 40,000 new resumes each day from across the country. In addition, the hiring and talent management tools offered through the Freedom-Monster program help recruiters and hiring managers save time, allowing them to focus on strategy and core operations.

The Freedom classified advertising network will extend into 16 states, giving advertisers and consumers access to the job market from the east to west coast. Monster’s employment product will first be launched across The Orange County Register in Orange County, Calif., The Gazette in Colorado Springs, Colo. and the East Valley Tribune in Mesa, Ariz., set to be live by the end of December 2006.
