Terry Moore named Vice President of Content for Freedom Interactive
Terry Moore has been named Vice President of Content for Freedom Interactive. Moore is responsible for developing and implementing content strategy and coordinating interactive content within Freedom’s newspaper and broadcast divisions.
In her new role, Moore reports to Michael Mathieu, President of Freedom Interactive, and Ken Brusic, in his role as content leader for Freedom Communications.
Moore will also continue as leader of Orange County’s Internet Steering Team, the cross-divisional group responsible for Freedom Orange County’s interactive business.
“We’re delighted to have someone of Terry’s talent and experience joining the Freedom Interactive management team,” said Mathieu. “Content is at the core of what we do. Terry will make sure we are providing the right information to the right people at the right time.”
Moore joined Freedom in 2000 as managing editor of a fashion Web site, and then became vice president of interactive content for myOC.com. The company served as Freedom’s learning platform about the Internet. When the myOC.com staff merged with the Orange County Register, Moore joined the content center as a deputy editor, where she kept her focus on the Web as well as leading content teams in the coverage of travel, food, lifestyle and entertainment.
Before joining Freedom, Moore was the managing editor of a commercial Web site and worked as a city editor, news editor, lifestyle editor, entertainment editor and reporter for several newspapers in California.
Earlier this year, Moore was one of three team leaders that prepared and helped present a new strategic vision for Freedom to the board of directors.
“There is no more exciting time to be doing this work,” Moore said. “Together we can create compelling content that will serve our communities and grow our business. I’m thrilled to be a part of the new Freedom Interactive division.”
