Evan Cowitt named Vice President of Advertising Sales for Freedom Interactive

IRVINE, Calif. – April 24, 2007 – Freedom Interactive, the internet subsidiary of Freedom Communications, has tapped Evan Cowitt to assume a newly created position of Vice President of Advertising Sales. Cowitt, a former Vice President of Sales for Napster.com, will lead Freedom Interactive’s sales teams driving advertising revenue for Freedom Interactive’s network of newspaper, TV and magazine web sites nationwide.

“Evan has a proven track record in building and leading sales teams as well as providing effective interactive media solutions and superior client service to advertising clients,” said Freedom Interactive’s Senior Vice President of Advertising and Business Development, David Atkins. “Leveraging his impressive interactive experience and existing relationships in advertising and media, Evan will play a key role in launching our sales efforts, driving new business and revenue for Freedom Interactive.”

Prior to Napster.com, where Cowitt led the in-house ad sales team and launched integrated marketing programs, Cowitt served as Vice President of Entertainment Advertising at Fox Interactive media. At Fox Interactive, Cowitt was part of the leadership team at IGN where he oversaw entertainment advertising sales. His position with IGN was established when IGN’s Entertainment group acquired the movie, games and entertainment reviews site - Rotten Tomatoes.

Cowitt brings over 18 years of entertainment marketing, interactive expertise and sales experience with leading entertainment brands; including: The Walt Disney Studios, IGN Entertainment, Rotten Tomatoes, IFILM, and AOL. He holds a Bachelor of Science degree in Business Administration from the University of Southern California.
