Freedom’s Interactive Division begins to retool with locally focused sales talent
Feb. 11, 2008--IRVINE, Calif.--The Interactive Division of Freedom Communications is realigning sales talent to support the company’s interactive growth in 2008.
Four new associates have joined the interactive sales operations, reporting up through Dawn Paduganan, Vice President of Sales for Freedom Communications’ Interactive Division.
“I am excited to lead this team of talented and experienced individuals,” said Paduganan. “Putting this team together is one of the first major steps in leading and facilitating Freedom Interactive’s focus on a local strategy designed to pursue new business and advertisers across the country.”
The sales team includes:
Matthew Cordaro is Director of Online Recruitment Sales. He will be responsible for driving strategy and tactics for online recruitment revenue. Cordaro previously worked at Monster Worldwide, Inc.’s Media Alliance Division as Freedom’s relationship manager. He also managed relationships with 100 other newspapers. At Monster, he was named Rookie of the Year and top Account Manager in Monster’s northeast region.
Robert Forcey is Director of Automotive Advertising, responsible for driving strategy and tactics for online automotive revenue. Forcey previously worked at Advance Internet, the online presence for 32 newspapers owned by the Newhouse Media Group. He also previously managed national advertising relationships with GM, Ford, and Daimler-Chrysler. Rob returns to Freedom, looking forward to growing both Print and Internet Advertising.
David Peck is Director of Local Online Sales Acceleration, responsible for leading a hunter sales team in developing new business from non-customers of the newspaper. He previously served as the Director of the Sales and Market Development team in the newspaper division.
Cheryl Glover is Regional Online Sales Acceleration Manager for Freedom’s Florida and South Texas regions, reporting to David Peck and responsible for managing and retaining key accounts. She previously worked at Weatherbug, a technology firm that supplies weather information where she served as a major account representative selling Internet advertising to a nationwide client base.
